Analysis of the use of AI among students in IPGKBM

 

The use of artificial intelligence for educational purposes among students in IPGKBM has always been common while completing the task given by the lecturer. Using Google Forms, an analysis of the use of AI among students at IPGKBM was conducted. All of the students' results were obtained through this Google Form. According to the findings, the top three AI education programmes being used by students are Canva, Google Classroom, and Grammarly.

            First and foremost, let us begin with the most popular AI education programme that has been used by students, which is Canva. With professionally designed templates, Canva is a free graphic design platform that makes it simple to create a variety of materials such as lesson plans, business cards, flyers, presentations, invitations, and Zoom backgrounds. It states that, with Canva, it can make it easier for students to prepare their presentation slides to be presented in front of the class. This is because if there is last-minute preparation, students do not need to worry because there are already a variety of templates for presentation slides that they do not need to create with their own ideas. Students just need to choose their favourite one and apply all the information into the slide. Another reason Canva is highly chosen by the students is because the app or website is free to use and has a lot of interesting tools that can be explored.           

            The second choice of AI education programmes among students at IPGKBM is Google Classroom. Designed to make the process of creating, assigning, and grading assignments easier, Google Classroom is a free blended learning tool for educational institutions. Simplifying the file sharing process between lecturer and students is Google Classroom's main goal. With this AI, students are able to track all the tutorials and assignments that have been uploaded by the lecturer at the same time. Also, they may check the points, marks, and feedback from the task they have been uploading there. Here are also provided private comments where only student and lecturer can communicate and other students are not able to see them. It can prevent students from leaving behind all the information that is uploaded into the Google Classroom. Students can interact in the class stream or by email by sharing their own resources.

            Last but not least, another one of AI education programmes is Grammarly. Grammarly's product ensures that everything typed is not only correct in terms of spelling, punctuation, and grammar, but also clear, compelling, and easy to read. The suggestions provided are intended to assist students in identifying and replacing complex sentences with more efficient ones, refreshing repetitive language, and strengthening students' writing to say what they truly mean. This website may enhance students skills in vocabulary usage. Even when the students are writing essays in documents, grammarly can detect errors in the essay at the same time.

The conclusion that has been drawn from the analysis clearly shows that the existence of AI in education may simplify the students in order to complete the assignment with excellence.
